This piece was presented to the RCMP Musical Ride in June 2024 at WindReach Farm. The black wool was from a sheep called Jet, the brown wool was from a white sheep called Taryn and was dyed using walnuts from the avenue of walnut trees on the farm and the yellow wool was dyed using dandelion flowers from the paddocks around the farm

The canvas for this piece is felted llama fibre and the art work is needle felted sheep wool and re-cycled felted wool sweaters. It is mounted on a lightweight canvas backing.The texture and 3D quality of wool lends itself to the creation of a natural landscape and the bright colours of fall contrast with the dark llama fibre background. Fall is my favorite time of year.
